UNA-DYN has an opening for a full-time Field Support Technician (FST). A successful FST promotes quality customer relations by using technical knowledge of UNA-DYN systems, to service its equipment at customer’s manufacturing plants. Under general guidance, performs, installation, maintenance, startup, shut down, and training on UNA-DYN equipment wherever they are located (domestic and internationally). This is a support level position requiring a thorough knowledge of the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical and electronic systems, gained through formal education or from considerable and varied experience in working with/on industrial equipment.
|Duties:|| Travels wherever customers are located (domestically or internationally) to test, trouble shoot, debug, install, start up, shut down, or repair equipment;
Observes the performance of equipment and systems to fine-tune and bring about optimal operation;
Installs parts and performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and process piping installations;
Conducts training about the correct and effective use of UNA-DYN equipment at customer’s site(s);
Promotes service contracts to customers;
Documents (in writing) problems found, field work performed, required future customer responsibilities, and required follow up, other duties as assigned.
Provides after sales service to customers through technical phone support and assistance with replacement part sales.
|Qualifications:||Technical/mechanical diplomas/certificates and at least three years experience installing parts and performing minor mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and process piping installations is essential. Without the certificates and three years experience, at least eight years experience installing parts and performing minor mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and process piping installations is necessary. Must live within one-hour from a major airport. Applicants that do not meet these criteria will not be considered. |
