| Description: |
UNA-DYN has an opening for full-time Sheet Metal Mechanic - III. The successful candidate will operate tools used in sheet metal fabrication and repairs in a close tolerance machine shop environment.

| Duties: |
- Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products;
- Calculates bend deductions;
- Verifies metal thickness;
- Performs brake operations and hold tolerances;
- Selects gauge and type of sheet metal such as hot rolled and cold rolled steel, stainless steel, or aluminum, or non-metallic material such as plastics, according to product specifications;
- Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials;
- Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smooths surfaces, and other duties as assigned.

| Qualifications: |
Should have one to two years of related experience. Completed, specialized, sheet metal, vocational training can be substituted for years of experience. Applicants that do not meet this criteria will not be considered. |
